I know this is nothing special, but I wanted to try a piston power plant, so I bought a Crosman NP1 in .177 today. I got it on sale with twenty dollars off at the local Dunham's store. I have to say the Center Point 4 x 32mm scope is nothing to write home about, but it is usable. This is not an expensive piston rifle, so I won't go very expensive on a scope, but for the money, the rifle and scope was pretty good for my first foray into something other than my springers. Here it is:
I put some pellets through it as 35 feet, just to get the scope sighted in, but will zero it at 60 feet as soon as possible. Here are a couple of targets, one with the rifle and the other with my Crosman 1377 pumper pistol, also in .177.
I have to say the recoil impulse is different than my springers, but it does need to be handled gently....seems to be just about as hold sensitive as a springer.
