I am wondering about the threads ? If i had a bottle gun would it be possible to unscrew the bottle and screw on the tube ? or would that require an adaptor ? most likely different threading , but thought i would ask .

I have heard they are interchangeable on the FX wildcat but no experience. I do know the plenum on the bottle version is larger. I was told by a tech at Utah airguns the valving in the tube version is more consistent for pellets. Mine is extremely so with a SD of 1.5
I have a couple tube guns and no the tube won't screw on an M18x1.5 bottle mount. For example my Snowpeak Max 1 has a tube with m11x1.5 threads (VERY strange).
However some like Reximex and FX have a M12 to M18 adapter that screws into the bottle. My Bobcat is loaned out so i cannot confirm but I believe the tube is M12.

Bottles are all standard m18x1.5 threads.
Tube guns are all over the place as far as diameter and thread size.

The only one I know of so far, is the Airmaks Krait tube version. I bought the tube version and screwed a 580cc bottle onto it as the tube is M18 1.5.
Other than this one I'm not sure. I wondered about the Karma airguns but think they told me no last time I checked.

My FX Dream Tac compact in .177 had no problem going from the 170cc tube to the 300cc carbon fiber bottle

Like people have mentioned..depends on the tube threads.
This is a pic of a standard FX 170cc tube next to M18x1.5 bottle threads of an RTI regulator.
All you need is a good machinist for an adapter..
Then assemble.. ;-)

An "off the Shelf" or Custom Built Tube.....
For my custom Titanium Rapid I went with a Custom built Titanium Tube.
The Threaded end was made to replace the Bottle Adapter on the Receiver.
So the Titanium tube screw directly into the Receiver!

The thread on the FX 170cc tube is NOT M18x1.5. It is ??? and considerably smaller. You will need an adapter for the FX to M18x1.5. Or as I did, replace the tube end insert/cap.
The resulting project..based on a Naked P1..but essentially a bottle to tube conversion..
