Any suggestions on the easiest and economical way to fill PCP bottles, besides the dreaded hand pump.....

There is only 3 ways. The pump, scba or scuba tanks, or an HPA compressor.
The most economical way if you don't want to pump is to buy a used scba tank and assemble your own fill adapter using appropriate parts from stores like North Shore Compressor.
The set up costs are annoying but it is worth doing it right so you can just enjoy the hobby. Hand pumps make it chore to use your air gun.
I have aver seen a few YouTube video where people motorized their hand pumps to minimize the effort but it is never going to be as good as being able to fill up in 5 seconds with a tank.
If you don't have a place close by to fill an scba tank regularly, you can rent a large nitrogen or helium tank for your garage.

Or, find a Paintball shop. They usually have 4500 pound compressors to fill paintball tanks. Only difference between paintball tanks and the carbon fiber tanks for PCP filling is the regulator. The Paintball regulators on the tanks are set around 800lb where the regulator on the PCP tank is 3000lb.
The Air Venturi tank is expensive at $300, but it comes with everything you need to fill, including the air hose. If there's a paintball shop nearby, this is about the easiest way to go. I pay about $5 for a refill, lasts quite a while.

SaltLake58, I probably assume way to much but are you in Utah and if so where do you get your tanks filled?

Utah Paintball Xtreme. 7050 South 400 West in Midvale. Take I-15 to the 7200 South exit, go East about a block then north.

Nice guys up there, but call ahead to make sure their tanks are up to pressure. Went in last night, and since Friday is very busy, they'd drawn the air pressure down to around 3500 PSI, so filled my bottle to that point for free. Need to go back today and refill, after shooting this morning.
By the way, the new TNT Gun Range has a great 25 yard indoor pistol range that they allow rifles on. Shot there for an hour an a half this morning with only two other shooters. Lanes are wide and enough bench to shoot on a bi-pod with a Marauder. Really friendly folks at both places.

Hey thanks Saltlake58, You know it is good to have a backup that is why I asked about where you get your fills. I know that it would be farther for you to drive if you live in Salt Lake County but Strangling Brothers, go West off from Pleasant Grove exit 1/4 mile after you cross the tracks on the left. Devin and Mason are great guys to work with and charge $5 for a fill. I have never been to TNT. I will have to check them out for sure. I live in Saratoga Springs where 100,000 people try driving around on two lane roads, hahaha. If you ever want to go shoot let me know we can setup a time to go. LNielsen

I have an FX-Impact and fill the bottle to 250 bar. My question iis how low do most of you let it go before refilling?

I let it go down to 140-150 bars here to be level with the regulator level set by FX around 140-150.
