READ AND COMPREHEND what I'm saying ..... It is the backside of the valve housing where the POPPETS PIN comes threw the hole where hammer can strike it !!
The exit hole for the stem is damaged and thus why the stem can no longer extend beyond being flush as you have shown in view threw vent hole as shown in post #11

I'm done ...

If having access to a machinists starter drill in @ the 1/8" diameter, it CA glued into a short piece of K&S 1/8" I.D. brass tubing you place this self made extension drill down threw receiver from the hammer bore and gently twisting this drill place a small chamfer on the edge of the pin hole which removed the peened edge that is creating the issue.

Or any other creative miens to clean up end / I.D. edge of the poppet stem hole :unsure:

So, now that I have a diagnosis (thanks @Motorhead) and a proper understanding of where the fault lies, how do I get the tube the hammer goes in out?

I am not model specific savvy and no longer work on FX's, so how FX is doing the stacked connecting of cock lever to hammer and how it all comes apart I simply don't know.
The valve stem issue is as old as ROYAL's and that i know 1st hand.

Do a google search perhaps on hammer replacement, that should get you the needed info, that is unless others chime in to help.

It's a damn shame that someone tinkered with one of the best pellet shooters ever made (previous owner/tinkerer). When I installed a Huma in my Boss & resealed everything the hammer sleeve came out easily. I don't remember having any problems. The simplicity of design & logic of operation is one of the things I love best, not to mention SUPERB accuracy. Sorry it's not being easy for you. As said above, contact Ernest!

I have no problem with working on the guns. Once I am familiar with that specific model it is usually a breeze. The issue, as almost always, is parts.

I may scan the trigger wheel, add the missing hunk and try printing a replacement. The carbon fiber infused filament may be strong enough.

It looks like someone forced the trigger with the safety on. Broke the thin end at the safety screw

I'm not positive but I believe thats the way the trigger base is supposed to be. There is a set screw on the trigger assembly that engages the safety post. Pretty sure thats how it was on the boss I had. Newman at cape fear would be the one to ask.

FX Boss Trigger Wedge

Anyone know the best source for replacing the Boss trigger wedge? The tip has sheared off such that the safety no longer engages. Thanks for any help/tips.

This one is clearly broken, raw metal on the end and no way for the safety to engage.
