Been looking for a bore mop for a .25cal but can't find the right size. Can someone help me with the correct size needed?
I have Googled, thanks. Brownells, Midway also. And searched the forum, and only came up with this thread.Google Tipton firearms cleaning products and pick a vendor.
Hot water and good dish soap seems to do fine for me.Use the size under if you can't find your exact caliber. Bore mops are quite forgiving in size. So use .22. It will work just fine.
FWIW, I hate bore mops. They do a good job of cleaning, but they get loaded with fouling and crud quite quickly. And then trying to clean them while they are loaded up with oily lead dust is a pain. No really worth it, IMO. Patches are the way to go to keep everything clean since they are disposable.
Thanks. I have a PP700SA 25 cal conversion. The barrel groups aren't great so I am going to do a polish on it. I've done it in the past with 22 cal, but this will be the first 25. I use patchworm for regular cleaningUse the size under if you can't find your exact caliber. Bore mops are quite forgiving in size. So use .22. It will work just fine.

@Florida_Man I saw one labeled .25 when I bought a larger one recently at Wally’s World. They were going for a little under $3 for one mop and one bore brush.I have Googled, thanks. Brownells, Midway also. And searched the forum, and only came up with this thread.
The only make a .264 or a .224.
I am seeking someone that knows of something closer to .25
