That sounds like a story that will definitely save someone else some grief later on.

I hope so. It seemed like a "logical" way to optically center the scope, so I can see how someone else might do the same thing -- and regret it.

Classic! We've all been there! No matter how proficient, how often we shoot or awesome we think we are... It happens to the best of us, especially when we haven't shot our airguns in a while! "Why won't my Impact group today?" Oh crap, the barrel is in backwards!
