Those darts are bringing back some old memories of my middle school years in the 1980s. I could never afford them so I made some crude versions out of finishing nails and shot them out of my Benjamin 392. I'm pretty sure I trashed the barrel on that 392 because I didn't know any better lol. I was surprised that some of them actually stuck on my family's garage door. Boy was my dad pissed!

Same here...As a kid, I would cut the ends of laces off on old shoes (and some not so old)... about 1/2 inch behind the plastic 'sheath' and fluff out the lace and run a needle through it with a dot of glue on the back. Shot those out of cheap pumpers at a dartboard.

When I ran out of pellets, I would shoot little rocks and pebbles out of my 392. Boy was I a dumb kid.

Have an old Crosman 760. Shoots pellets really, really bad. But on a happier note it shoots q tips quite well.

I still have a couple unopened packs of the old dart board darts. My mom sowed for a living. When she broke sowing machine needles she would give them to me. I cut the ends off the blue plastic q-tips about 1”. Push the needle into the end. Worked great in the black crossman .45 looking guns. I think the guns came with darts and a dart board.
