Love the BOG tripod other then with the fx impact and saber arcra rail. Doesn’t grip that well. Anyone have an idea other then putting a different rail on?

What do you mean doesnt grip will? This thing will grip anything as long as you can tighten the vice.

I made this out of the bottom half of a Picatinny Scope Mount and a block of wood. I did have to drill the screw holes in the mount so I could fit the wood screws, but thus far it has worked extremely well.

Here are a couple more pictures of the BOG Block mounted the other direction, which is how it is normally mounted. (The previous pics were more for illustration.) The angle of the scope ring is very close to the angle of the FX Bi-Pod Rail, so it helps with the mount being very close to the center of balance. These also show how the rifle looks when using the BOG Tripod. My FX Dream-Tac is in it now, but I also use it on my LCS SK-19 and used it on my Maverick when I had it.

That is a good way to set it up. My M3 700mm with the titan scope is a tank so had a hard time getting it to hold securely with the existences arcra rail. Going to do what you do just never crossed my mind. Thank you sir.

My LCS SK-19 has a similar rail as the M3, and with the 580cc tank and ATN 4K Pro scope, it's pretty hefty and this set-up holds it very securely!

I like the cantilever mount because it makes the mounting point just about at the perfect balance point. With it balanced, there's not a need to really crank down the adjusting knobs of the BOG to hold the gun level.

I replaced the clap with ball swivel for the arca rail. I had to make a spacer for inside the tripod head and I bought a stainless bolt to attach. Very smooth and stable with my Impact .35 800mm build.
