Like I said. It was obvious there is no real trapping experience. This comment is more of the same.
If you don't know, you don't know. In the 2 occasions you've seen, were they even your traps?

Sorry I was speaking of coons trapped with a dog proof trap where the trap is attached to a 2' long chain spiked into the ground. It this case the coon can move in a 2' radius. So when they are trying to avoid you and you approach them they can lung 4' towards you to attack. So IMO putting a muzzle to the body isn't a safe option. The case is different for a caged trap or if the dog proof is anchored down and cannot move as far.

This guy didn't expect coons to be so aggressive.

This women would be up to the challenge.

I just cut them loose in my yard. Mainly after the dang cats. When I was trapping the skunk under my front slab, the live trap get wrapped in plastic for better transportation. He got dropped off at the river access a couple miles away.
