Blew the dust off the ASP20

A little long over due fun tonight with the SIG ASP20. Winds were blowing at 14 but still managed some decent groups. Groups are 5 shot minimum, with some going 7 or 8. She’s pushing the JSB 15’s a little over 800fps.

Good groups from a nice gun. Too bad it has been discontinued along with other fine performers like the Walthers and FWB. Choices in high quality springers are getting rather limited.

That was part of the reason of the post. Was shooting my LGU earlier and was thinking it’s a shame they aren’t available anymore. So got me thinking about the ASP20

Very nice groups there! Good shooting.

I don't let too much dust settle on my asp20. Laser and hits hard! I had to work very hard to tame that gun.

You have way more rounds through yours than I have. Your post with the 75 yard groups comes to mind every time I grab mine

Thanks for the kind words.

It probably took me a few thousand rounds to really figure out that gun. Now I'm north of 18,000 and it still shoots like a champ.

Sean, Have you tried the AA 16 gr pellets yet ? Member Vettnut (Don) swears by them in his Sig.

I’m sure I did when I first got the rifle and did pellet testing. The JSB 15’s were best so I stuck with them. The last 4 tins of the 15.89’s I’ve gone through have been horrible so I’ll give ‘em a try

Were there obvious QC issues,or did they just not shoot well?

Way more than usual bent skirts and could feel a difference when seating them. This last tin I opened seems to be a little better. I’m hoping I just 4 unusual tins from the batch.
