Daystate Blackwolf owners discussion

Sold a Red Wolf Safari that shot 33/34 gr slugs with impressive accuracy and bought a laminated BW in 25 cal. with the same barrel length 23 inch as the Safari. So far this almost $4,000 rifle has not shot well any slug tried of varied brands, weights , shapes. The BW is accurate with AEA , 33.9 grs and 33.JSB's Exacts which for paper target are fine, but, for hunting you are limiting yourself to 100 yds. Tried to get a slug barrel but as typically with Daystate they are nowhere to be found.
Dissapointed? YOU BET! my 30 cal Delta W ( 600mm bbl) is also allegic to slugs.
Bought a 22 cal M3 and 25 cal M4 FX Impacts and both shoot slugs ( for long range iguana hunts) with benchrest accuracy at half the cost!
If your goal is purchasing a BW for long range hunting, consider its considerable overall length if you get one the 711 mm barrel, its considersable cost and the poor availability of accesories versus competitive FX Impact models with an enormous amount of available parts such as barrels, etc, at half the cost.

I'm sorry for you, but only the longest barrel is set up with a slug twist rate. The rest are only good for pellets. Are you able to exchange it still?

Thanks at least for saving me some money on experimenting with slugs in my 23".

All I can say is that I almost sold me 30 caliber Red Wolf to buy barrels for the BW I just bought and I am having buyer remorse, this gun is now in the shop for repair I had the 28” barrel and it didn’t shoot very well they sent me 23” and it is just as bad, the blue spring broke had to replace it now in the shop they’re saying regulator creeping I am not the only one having this problem talked to another guy his BW has the same regulator problem and will not group either, the gun will not shoot a good group, every once in a while, you get a decent group the gun is not consistent. I took my RW 30 to range and first group was less then a 1/2 in the picture the square is 1” this is 5 shot group

I had the 28” barrel and it won’t shoot slugs or anything else it’s junk, the platform of this gun is bad the only thing I have seen on the thread is that the 177 is shooting well

Are you saying your not happy with this gun?
I love it on paper, meaning the ideas behind it and especially the ease of disassembly and maintenance. It works well for shooting rats in my backyard. I am not yet happy with my results at 50 yards and beyond, but I can't say whether it's me or the gun that's to blame. I can tell you that I will be getting a slug barrel as soon as they become available.

Daystate specifically states which barrels are slug barrels. Did you specifically buy a slug barrel?

Top left group 33.95 gr pellets. It does very well! Here’s my .25 Blackwolf at 80 yards in the wind and a Redwolf and a Raw Hmx1000 all .25 cal.

Only accurate guns are interesting! Col. C Atkins
DS is good at marketing. They create an image of a product that on many occasions evaporates upon shooting the gun . Not to mention their advertising of parts and accesories not available for purchase. Not falling again for Daystate.
I’m curious about your air source?
