Daystate Blackwolf owners discussion

What power is needed?
good question / ?
paper punching - none really.
head shot / kill shot def. more.
plinking a can... not much.
Ringing a steel plate at 100 + yards... a bit more.
bucking the wind esp over distance, prob. more to get it there on target?
Certainly Power generated for the sake of power is (in airguns) defeating the purpose.
More power always means using more air, this means it will be louder and you will have to refill more often.

You are absolutly right. I would suggest for such purposes an AirArms 510 og a Daystate HUntsman.

So I figured out the mystery of "930 fps at 100 bar, white spring". The answer is, I am stupid. It was 830 fps.

I'm back to 135 bar and 930 fps. That seems to be the sweet spot for the JTS 25.39 .22s. I had to sacrifice my 18.8 wadcutters a bit, they're okay around 930 fps but could be better. Servicable though.

What PW setting were you using for those numbers? 936fps is the slowest mine will shoot 25g pellets, lol. PW on min. I need to get a white spring to play with.

Not for me - i have already own both platforms you mentioned... very nice, but i moved on. I was responding to the earlier mentioned idea concerning power v accuracy specifically "how much power is appropriate for a given task" as long as it is on target.

My Daystate BlackWolf TAC .177 HP with the VoluMax added will push 55+ FPE, but shoots lights out with the JSB KO 13.43 at 1003 FPS and 30 FPE 👍🐺🎯 Red spring, 95 bar on the regulator and power wheel on minimum 👍😃

A lot of shots per fill on a 700 cc bottle 😃

Very happy that my .25 cal SSL from CARM finally arrived. Flip out loading makes EFT so much easier!

I had a set back with mine a few days ago. Barrel freshly cleaned with Ballistol and some tins of 25g MRD's and Center Punch, which have both been consistent up to this point. I wanted to try something besides splatter targets so I printed some out from AGN for fun and started shooting away at the usual 40yds. I use a bipod and rear bag and am usually capable of applying the basic fundamentals to some degree of success. The previous day's groups were between dime and nickel sized, see the splatter target pic. This day was.... what the hell? (see 10m target pic) I'm wondering if it's the scope now after thinking about it. It's a used Helix 6-24 FFP. I increased zoom from 12x to around 18x for the 10m targets. Nothing else was changed between the 2 days outside of cleaning the barrel.

I got so frustrated I grabbed the little Uragan 3 compact and shot the same targets at the same distance with CPHP's and ended up with twice as many hits in the 9-10 rings! I forgot to take a picture, unfortunately.

What do you guys think?

Can I get the address where you bought the Carm magazine? There website does not allow me to send to the USA.
Darko only works via his web site... and due to our current political drift he fulfilled this particular order on a wild arse hope that the mail pouch it was in would ever get to the U.S. So all i can say is to use his website contact email and see if he can help you. Great guy. Maple in Canada is good also.

I had the same problem the gun grouped very well one day then the next day was terrible, I ran mine on the chronograph first shot was 1 1/2 inch to the right the next 4 we’re touching each other Wait 10 minutes same thing. Send it back to AOA they said it was the regular creeping on the first shot I would have to adjust the scope to the right and then the gun would shoot to the left, could not get it to group in the same spot

Found Maple. Thanks for the information.

I have not experienced this problem, except when I got a new moderator and it was faulty, causing clipping. I think you should go over the screws and whatnot to make sure everything is tight, as you suggested.
Don’t shoot with a moderator, as I was saying the first shot is off I can shoot 10 20 30 shoot in a round no problem let it sit for 10 minutes and the same thing it might go left on the first shot and then 10 minutes after that it might drown right an 1 1/2
I can pull one of my other daystate rifles out and it will shoot a 5 shot 1/2 groups at 50 yards all day
Here is an example of my Daystate Rosso 25 caliber at 50 yards.
I have let my neighbor shoot my air guns and he doesn’t shot much his words are it not my shooting it must be the gun that shoots so well
