Yesterday I had my 97 Black line STL .22 out for first time. After zeroing at 25yds. maybe 6 shots, I was easily hitting quarter size spinners at 35 yd. Felt great. Definitely a keeper.
Today I look out front, off deck, low and behold tree rat. Ran down to shop, what gun, well felt like a sniper with the Black line yesterday, perfect. Grabbed some Hades. Go out look, he’s below me 15’. I give him a whistle, he looks up. If he runs he’s gone but he ran for my Oak, big mistake. He runs up the trunk, almost into my sights, 19 yds. One shot.
He hung on by a claw and dropped.
I no sooner put the 97 down look at my shot and about 60 yds. away I noticed a Gray checking out my wood shop. The barrel is still smokin and I grab the Black line. He didn’t notice me 21 yds. Lead delivery. He ran 12 ft. done.
Great breakin for a great rifle.
For the record got a grey with my Pro Sport .177 Hades, yesterday. Crow
