One big thing to remember with tariffs is that the full bill is due to the government when the shipment clears customs. Depending on where the items are coming from (and thus the tariff rate) that can be a huge cash outlay long before any sales occur. It's possible for retailers to have favorable terms from their suppliers (in terms of time for payment or loans), but not for this.
I can understand some retailers needing to raise prices on current stock just to be able to afford to order more items. I don't like it, but I understand it . . .

I'm one of those people that bought a Blackwolf at launch. I liked the gun but didn't like the price, like the rest of you. I did it anyway, temporary insanity I guess. But now I feel lucky, as the price has gone up almost $400 in a short time! I am happy with my purchase but I wouldn't have done it as this current price. Now, my concern is magazines and additional barrels...

They only cost what they do because enough are willing to pay. Forget tariffs, cost of manufacturing, raw material price, whatever. If the overpriced items sat on the shelves and in the jobbers warehouse there would be more realistic prices. So between egos and greed to have the perceived latest and greatest, fasten your seatbelts. Never going to change.

But the fan bois will drool over the minor upgrades, fork out the money, and try to sell last year's model at a premium. They will be shocked that no one is willing to pay $2500 for a gun they bought for $3000. Eventually selling it for under $2000.

Ghosts at TT up by $100-$200 this morning as compared to weekend prices.
I wonder whether the weekend sales will be honored at the lower price? .30 cal HP was listed at lowest price of $2,199 and is now listed at $2,399. Had shown 4 in stock and now shows 2...
Of course Tony has to get his stock from the AoA parent company, and one wonders whether all of his inventory is truly 'on hand' within his brick-and-mortar walls.

I just purchased an RWHP in 30 cal. Like many here, I couldn't make that leap even before the price increase on a new one. I can get a decent O/U shotgun or a nice centerfire for what they were asking for a quality PCP. AOA has a used rifle page, and just out of curiosity, I took a gander. They had one advertised at LNIB. I took that leap of faith after talking to them. I have to give it to AOA, it was flawless. I was able to get a 20 MOA rail, 5 tins of pellets, and a moderator out the door for less than a new RWHP. My guess the rifle was so reasonable in pricing was because of its niche caliber. I now have ten tins of pellets, and will get ten more, and I figure that will be a lifetime's worth of hunting, shooting pests from the back yard. Hoping for a Memorial Day sale somewhere so I can get an EVO-310 at a not-too-insulting price.

The price increase you see in the U.S. is a direct reflection of the 10% tariff put on all products coming from the U.K. to the U.S. The last two shipments into the U.S. have had the additional tariffs charged on them.

While this isn't the 'Industry Feedback' forum, I have to wholly agree with you. AoA seems to rate their pre-owned guns one level BELOW actual condition. Leads to happy customers, who when they receive their new-used gun find it to be better than described.

Yes they do. I hope, I really hope we don’t find out just how much they matter in say a year and half to two years from now.
In general response daystate won’t price themselves out. The reality is for hobby activities 4k is a drop in the bucket. Plenty of people with 10-20 k shotguns (I guess Beretta is a sister company of Daystate ? Not even a top tier shotgun ) and fisherman with boats and tackle etc that dwarf that many times over. Just a few examples. Them pricing themselves out of the hobby is silly talk.

Just checked the tariff website. Apparently, there is no additional tariff's on Sweden. Good news for those that buy another brand.
