Black gun ... black scope ... silver mounts ?

Just wondering why this is done as often as I see it ? Do you prefer this set up ?

I used that setup, because I only had silver mounts that were adjustable for windage and elevation. Function first before beauty

Ha ha ! Want to hear something humorous? I was racking my brain, trying to figure out the why's of it. Daystate even does it in their ads sometimes. And I never even thought of your most basic reason of all. :"Because I already had them". LOL
