Bit confused about a pcp under $500

Hi,

been searching and lurking. Looking for a pcp for around $500. I have all the other stuff needed, pump, scope, etc.

I was looking at a Kral, but from topics, it’s the not able to get parts, even with Crosman and their Kral guns.

So i was thinking the Marauder, read a few topics about others here, spent boo koo $ on their m-rods, only to find that their stock Gamo Urban shoots better, half the cost, and lighter.

Another chimes in about the Air Venturi Avenger, 100% Chinese and plastic, and is awesome. But i dont see how its different from the others parts wise.

And this is where the confusion sets in for me. The Avenger is all the things I’m looking for ish.

I’m looking for forward side lever, synthetic just cause it’s lighter to carry. 177 or 22 caliber. Carbine or pup, something short, not Gauntlet length. Shrouded and quite not needing ldc. And preferably under 7 lbs.

thank you for scratching your head brainstorming.

That price range is not where the manufacturers are going to provide a lot of extra after market parts most of them don't want you to working on the rifles yourself anyway. That price range is really in the "starter" area for PCP so you get what you get but you can still get a lot but parts availability should not be a huge factor in your decision in that price range.

The Avenger is available in wood and is the best choice because it has the accuracy of a $1500 gun. Plain and simple...NO other gun under $1000 can compete with the Avenger. Any other choice would be insane.

2nd choice, the regulated Walther RM8 ...shoots almost as good.

But if something fails, where would i get replacement parts for it? Where is the best price for the Rotex? Thanks

Who says that there's no Kral parts available,...that has been debunked already

Really? That will open up some doors for me, thanks! Where would you get parts?

One nitwit said they don't have parts avaliable and he was quickly proven wrong.

Go to Pyramid Air's website and type in Kral then click accessories.. They seem to have plenty parts available. This is copied from Pyramid's website.

Kral also sells a complete line of accessories for their air rifles and pellet guns, including parts, stocks & grips, mags, clips, speedloaders and pellet holders. Your Pyramyd Air specialist can help you choose the Kral Arms airgun that's right for you!

I don't have an avenger but I do know several people that do. Most are happy with it and say its really accurate. One guy had a lemon but got it sorted out. I do not believe that it is quiet tho. The shroud is not really that effective. The marauder has an excellent shroud and is very quiet in 177. Probably in 22 as well but I can't verify because I only have the 177. I love the aftermarket support for it and would recommend it over the avenger if you plan on getting into mods and tinkering or you are concerned about noise. The avenger does have an aftermarket thread adapter for putting on an LDC and you can get a 3d printed plastic LDC for less than 30 bucks at airgun universe.com and it weighs next to nothing. good luck and welcome to the dark side.

Avenger is great bang for buck and ahead of some of others listed partly due it's being regulated.

The newer gen Krals have really good triggers, as do the Benjamin/Crosman "Craftsman" line (Cayden, Kratos and Akela) I'll take their triggers over my Marauder. They are quite different triggers though so i can see how someone might prefer one over the other.

Someone posted in the last few weeks about getting a Kral Puncher (Monarch or Empire?) bullpup direct from Kral.

Glad to see mature name calling here. So if there is an issue with a Krale gun you have to buy parts to fix it? Hope one day they setup factory support center like crosman so they can address any issues people who buy their guns would have. My policy is no factory support then no business from me.

ever wonder about why they won’t have a US service center?
