The BR4 is their bench rest model... so you are correct, longer legs taller stance. Tom, of Tomcat Airguns has a great review on the differences... check him out.

You made an excellent choice. When you get that thing in your hands and use it, you'll appreciate all the engineering that went into it and why a lot of people recommended it. It's nice to see that you went over your budget for something that will be used for many years to come.

Thank you. I think the thing that finally pushed me over the top was the thought that I could use it on any rifle. I have a couple of pcps and a few powder burners. I can spread the cost over the entire herd.

I've had my Accu-Tac BR4 now for several days. I've used it on my backyard bench for a number of shooting sessions. All I can say is that I'm blown away by the quality of this thing. IMO, the "buy once, cry once" principle really applies here. It is extremely easy to take on and off a rifle, or move to another. It is incredibly easy to deploy and adjust. Once I get the cant just where I want it, it's takes almost no effort to lock it in. It really outshines the $100 brand-name bipod I have. I read--and can see why--that it's easy to lose the screw-on feet in the field, but was pleased to see that Accu-Tac includes an extra pair. I put a touch of medium-strength Lock-Tite on mine, so I don't think that will be an issue. And I think I could run over this thing with a truck and not damage it. No more cheapo bipods!

Today my amazon order arrived, I have right now the Accu-Tac knock off bipod in my hands and looking at the original Accu-Tac web pictures...honestly I cannot imagine what makes a major price difference of $330 USD.
The engraving depth, different fonts and a bit smaller lettering, I can see the leg pad is hard plastic vs rubber shoes, the bottom lever is a butterfly screw...the machining and anodising is decent, and I am not planning to step on it or run over with my quatro.

Sorry if I came off that way. I'm also glad you're not so sensitive. I guess when it comes to something I'm passionate about, certain things irk me like direct copies of a product. I've owned at least one optic and a few accessories made in China so I guess I should eat crow then. Never again though in regards to optics. I don't want to turn this into anything political and derail this thread so I'll end it here. No offense.

Different is that Accu-Tack it's based in US, giving American citizens work and overheads are probably ten times more then in China.
Also I hate thief's so will never buy knock offs.

You see...I am working in Mechanical Engineering, New Products Development, as a Designer, collected so far about 40 or so years. Today do not expect Patents will last long, nobody is registering anymore. This is a digital age, if I would want to sit down and tell my two son's a story about patents they won't have patience for it. Made in USA or made in Germany or wherever....forget about it. You can be patriot as much you like but the paste is so fast you just registered your idea yesterday and one day later today became an industry standard. Please and I am saying it again Please don't fool yourself what is made where...yes of course again you can be a tight supporter to a certain brand, but if you like toys and many of them...your pocket will change your mind quickly.
Made in China...it is late, too late to start hating these things. It is not their fault if looks cheap or works cheap...that was written in the contract with a manufacturer where the piece price shall top, they can make it cheep or expensive quality depend of a requirements. Same as you already sad, you get what you paid for. The bigger crocks are the companies contracting out to make it cheaper and selling you with large chunk of margins back in US, sell a ton of poop make a money and disappear...that will be a problem very soon when you need to reach for service or warranties.

I agree with you as well, absolutely. But this is a reality we like it or not, today every (company in this our case) is steeling from the other guy and with best luck from other side of the globe...less visible
Sorry for hijacking the OP thread.
Here is an update from my side.
I have couple of these high power magnifiers, so I grabbed this my cheapo bipod from amazon. With a naked eye not visible but with a magnifier I can confirm it is a casting, some sort of magnesium + aluminum composite. Ok that explains a price/origin. Lifeline? With not much heavy abuse shall last long.
But then I visited back the Tier1 website, after some closer look I am questioning a profitability on a piece price (in relative to a production volume) at which those bipods could be CNC machined - in USA. No further comment, unless those legs are molded/casted as well.
