Why don't manufacturers offer pellets in larger packages. I would rather buy 1000, 2500 or 5000 packs. Would any of you buy in bulk?

They keep the tin count low as a clever marketing strategy to appear to keep the retail price low per tin.

Maybe with some of the larger calibers over 500 pellets in the same container would cause QC issues? But yes 1000 count JSB Exact Jumbo 18s tins would be awesome. Especially if they lowered the price.

Might become a thing real soon with all these full-auto and semi-autos hitting the market. PB ammo makers certainly offer rounds by the thousands for this exact reason.

I think about that guy that just posted dropping a full tin of 500. 1000 would be twice as bad.

Ha, my son Cooper dropped a tin of .25 JSB’s all over our gravel driveway a while back. I was upset but didn’t flip out, he could tell I was bothered though. Not two weeks later we got home from the store and I was holding two tins from the top. The bottom tin fell all over our gravel driveway. Again I was pissed. I looked over at Cooper and he just smiled at me. I’m sure glad they weren’t tins of 1000. I might have lost it..
If you want more than 350 or 500 in a tin, just buy a sleeve of pellets. That’s what I consider to be the jumbo pack.

I saw Crosman offers their Premier Domed pellets in boxes of 1250 in .177 caliber. I'm sure they have the same thing in .22.

Depending what brand you're buying, just buy them by the sleeve from Jeff at Trenier. Low pricing, flat rate shipping, very well packaged and his customer service is beyond awesome.

You can buy JSBs in boxes of 2500. 10 tins of 250 or 5 tins of 500. What difference does it make that they don't all come in the same tin? If you want 5000, buy two boxes.

That's what the sleeve is for. When I am walking about shooting/plinking I carry the tin in my pocket. A tin of 500 is enough weight in my pocket. Even at the bench I don't need more than 500 at a time. You can buy in as much bulk as you want by buying sleeves of 10 tins.

Sounds like you have some sort of an addiction going on? ;^) With all of the werq going into sorting and weighing and rolling them the 500 tins are enough for me. I wears me out just thinking of tins of 1000 pellets. When would I ever find time to shoot.

I would like to see H&N and JSB sell them in plastic containers of 5,000 or 10,000. There would be some savings in packaging, and one could transfer them to smaller containers if need be. I keep pellets in an old 35mm plastic film container when out and about. The plastic containers from Breath Savers also work nice.

10,000 14.5 grain pellets will weigh about 21 pounds. In one container? Imagine the carnage happening inside during the well known treatment shipped packaged goods receive. A dropped 21 pound pack would be a certain insurance claim.

What I don’t get are tins of 100?!! What’s that all about? 150 per tin is bad enough! I think 30 cal pellets should be 200-250 a tin, 25 cal all should be 300 per tin.

JSB .25, 25.4gr pellets in a 1000-rd container would be nice. Maybe a nice, decorative tin with flowers and bunnies.
