Big problem on my hands help!

I think the Evol HP .22 would suit you well. It can shoot slugs or pellets, and is built loke a tank plus the furniture can be switched out to fit you if need be. I have a RAW Chassis that I recently put a zero angle MK Machining grip on and it totally changed my hand/finger position and shoulddring. If you've never owned a RAW, that might be another one to research, plus you can nkw order one with unf 1/2-20 I believe.

Congratulations 👍💪

Tough problem to have !

From our previous conversations, you know I'll recommend a Red Wolf but the EVOL and Veteran are no regret choices. I was sent this Heritage to tune and it is STUNNING !

On the left is Wally and the right is my 22 Standard. I can't imagine letting go of the EVOL but if it really came down to letting one of the two go, it would likely be the EVOL. I've got a Heliboard and 177, 22, 25, and 30 barrels with a 20 that could be fitted. I like the 177 most, but shoot the 22 most... It's my EBR and general long range preference. It's capable of around 90 ft lb w the 30 barrel but can go below 12 ft lb in 177. All the barrels are quite good. The EVOL, by contrast, is none of those. It's meant to be bulletproof and already set to go when you get it. The trigger is VERY good and the ergos are very good ! Tom did a phenomenal job engineering it. With light furniture and a light scope , shouldn't be difficult to keep under 7 lb.

The offer is still there if you're still in Az to come visit and try them.

Thanks Bob! Were heading off to Salem virginia in a couple weeks but I might have some spare time. That Evol is very tempting!

Bobby, you show off! 😂😂😂 That’s a beautiful bunch of air guns right there, yours or not. That Heritage is so sexy!

If you’re going full tilt, my choice would be a custom Thomas like Steve’s with a March scope sitting up top. For a hunting rig, it’d be pretty hard to beat a new Evol with the scope of your choice.

It’s definitely a great problem to have. It’s an awesome time to be an air gunner. Be sure to show us some pictures after you make a decision.

Why don’t you make your own? I’ve seen some of your skills. Invest in equipment instead, to build both an action and a custom wood stock. Add a 3D printer to the mix.

You can sub out any CNC work along with a custom made barrel

build every part. Valve, hammer system, receiver blocks, even the moderator. Build a one of, that no one will ever have one just like it.

For must of us the amount of money we have along life is not always the one we need.

If you have now some extra money keep in mind that you could need part of it in next future.

I would never regret of having a super beautiful walnut stock of a Daystate Wolverine or Red Wolf.

I have read that the Evol is a SUPER rifle. I give it for granted. No doubt. The point that I have in regard of the Evol is that it looks like a car exhaust seen from below. No sexappeal at all.

Ive been thinking of that. My wifes been pushing me to get some machines. I can pick up a Haas vf2 with a trunion from a friend for cheap, and I have a jet lathe. Hmm..

“You caan dooo eeeettt!!!”

no, really, I’ve seen some of your work on some of your other threads. You have skills, I can tell. With some research, planning, prototyping with a 3D printer, I feel you’re up to the task. If and when you decide do do this, post up pics of all stages along the way. I’ll be sure and subscribe!!

it’s on my bucket list to design and build my own one day, to build a one of. Heck, we can’t let the basement engineering boys in Russia have all the fun, right? lol. Heck, In my native country of the Philippines they do it all the time!

But for now, I’ll be content just watching you!

Just some IMO's...

One of the things I've developed a liking for over the last couple years is a light and fast cocking lever effort. Lets just say that a 30 cal EVOL and a RW are opposites in this aspect. The RW is fast, I love shooting it on my speed silhouette's!

Both the full sized EVOL and the RW are long air rifles but if I got into another EVOL I'd get a mid or shorter length model.

Versatility definitely goes to the RW but its an E gun so = charging.

I like the way the RW feels more than the EVOL but that short EVOL is a neat gun because of its build quality and form factor. I'm plenty used to AR furniture and how it feels but the RW ergos are sweet and walnut is pretty.

RW's are nice guns to just sit down and plink with. EVOL for me is more of a hunting rifle.

I prefer the feel of the EVOL trigger more than the somewhat different feeling E trigger in the RW.

Everything about my Thomas HPX is pretty awesome, the trigger most of all which is perfect, well at times I'd like a Thomas repeater but - RW. The biggest thing I learned about my HPX is that one needs a perfectly steady bench and rest to shoot off of to find the optimum tune via the HS adjuster. I can make a gun out of tune faster than anybody I know, lol! Anyway 1/4-ish turn can make it nearly twice as precise, I'm talking about half the vertical at 50Y when the gun is doing 1/2" when out of tune. Mike calls it a "softer tune". I watched him take it from good to WOW in a few minutes! Customer support and quick response to annoying questions by me, Mike N wins by far and not that I dislike AOA or Tom at all because both are nice guys. Problem is that by the time you order a new Thomas be prepared to wait most of a year.

My Thomas FT rifle should be ready in a couple months, oh boy!

You should visit Bobby, its a treat! He might talk about airgun related subjects until 9 at night though so watch out, lol.

> ... with an mtc scope ...

I have an mtc scope, and I am not impressed. The reticle needs to be at a specific zoom to be meaningful. Otherwise, it is just a fancy looking graphic.
Hi. I have a viper pro 3-18 and I´m with you. It´s the worst piece of crap ever made. Recticle are in mils and turrets in moas. Glass is very good but yesterday loose my zero. Now I can´t deal the turrets, only holdover. I only shoot in weekends on a bench.
Buy the way, if someone knows if it can be repaired I apreciate.

I've been really happy with my current air gun collection although I've own several other nice pcp's. So now I have a Crown with 22/30 options, Impact MKII with 22/25/30 options and Daystate Regal 22cal. I have also considered what I'd buy if I added another. It would have to be something really special and maybe the last air gun I might ever purchase. I think about the only gun that has my interest might be a Redwolf HP or the RW Heritage. Something that is well known for quality and precision. What a conundrum we get ourselves into sometimes. I feel blessed anyway.
