So with my airforce lss cf. 457 I have taken 2 deer and to black bear with a 349 gr hp hand cast out of a lynman devastor mold pure lead. All slugs have exited the animals. Deer head shot at 30 yards in the brain. Both black bear at 51 yards #1 in the lungs 1 7/8 hole through both lungs and out the other side went 30 yards. #2 last Friday went through both shoulders looks like the hp was taken off and shank continued on out the other side. The arteries going to the hart was shredded hart was not damaged. And both lungs had a hole through them about 1/2 inch in diameter just in to the front edge.so barely got the lungs. Went 15 yards. Just thought I'd share the experience with everyone. To see real world results.

Hal4son you are correct. I do think I will hold a farther back in the future. And my reason is that I believe that it was a piece of the mushroom that come off the bullet that took the arteries off the hart and I was just lucky it ended so quickly. My reason for posting on this is that I believe it's a learning experience for others and myself. Other's experience are more than welcome .
