So I am looking for some bipods for my Airguns, I saw some of the higher-end Accutech But I used some bipods from like Dicks sporting goods that were like 40$ I saw a similar pair on Amazon wonder if anyone used them and the springs weren't terrible. I don't think the super expensive bipods are necessary, but I just don't want the springs to give out and the bipods only half work a week into using lol.

im no bipod expert, all its got to do is hold it up and not be too long, i dont have a 100 round drum hanging off my airguns lol ... that said i like the el-cheapo ones i got off ebay that lock in multiple positions .. theyre not high end and tilt with the gun and the swivel action isnt that great tends to loosen but .. its fine for a stationary bench sight in .. perfectly fine .. if i needed something for hunting off my position on the rocks overlooking the canyon, then i might want something better ..

One of mine had an issue with the tension nut backing off, I unscrewed it and packed some thick grease inside and never had another issue. Personally I think they are way better than the normal spring style bipods, I use them in the 45deg setting almost exclusively.

I personally never understood a $300+ bipod. Never spent more than $50 on one. They work just fine, in fact, I shot in my 1st competition last Nov. against champions who had more invested in their rests than my (borrowed) gun was worth. I beat 'em in one heat with $60 worth of bags & bipod. Some high priced stuff is just that to me, overpriced & overrated.

I bought 2 off ebay (different branding). Paid around $25 each. Took the best parts off of each one to make one that fit together tighter. I also drilled and threaded the adjustment knob for a set screw to lock it in place. Tighter tolerance one is on my Wildcat and the other one is on my R10. I only use these bipods on the bench. Work just fine for me.

I don't think it's about "understanding" $300 bipods. I own two UTGs and one Accutac BR4 G2. Yes they "all" hold up the rifle. But the difference in felt quality? No comparison. Difference in lockup? No comparison. The UTGs just don't compare. My rifle was pricey so I'm not going to trust it to a cheap bipod. Every time I deploy my Accutac it feels solid and more importantly is solid. Would buy again.

I think L.Leon makes a strong case. If at all possible, spend enough that you are confident your rifle won't roll off a bench or table onto the concrete, and that your bipod will do what you want it to do this time next year.

I am just getting seriously into airguns now, but I have been a powder burner varmint hunter my whole life and I have to say I never use bipods. If I am benching it I use a Caldwell Turret or bags. If I am in the field I shoot off hand and a tight sling or use shooting sticks for further out shots, so I practice shooting off hand so I can hit something at 50 yards. Shooting stick for further of course for safety. I see a lot of guys setting up in one spot for ground hops, woodchucks or iguanas (jealous big time) which makes sense for a bipod, but west coast the Jacks are running fast and the Coyotes are smart and spook quick and the squirrels are state protected so those are out completely. You may not need a bipod, depending on your application. Plus they do add weight!

I would buy this instead. Works great for me. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1007641151?pid=889663
