Purchase a Coltri or Bauer and be done with it

I could line up 5 new cheap compressors feeding a manifold via one way valves.

Run them all together until they blow.

Buy them all again 4 or 5 times and still not reach the cost of a Coltri or Bauer.

We're filling tanks for guns, not scuba, so dry is the only real requirement

This all falls into the same reasoning as high end guns. Is 1/4 inch smaller diameter group worth $2,000? Is filling that tank a few minutes faster worth $3,000.

I have a cheep compressor to travel with. I use an Alkin W3 at home. Get a good one and do the maintenance and it will last a long time.

I found a used Bauer for sale through one of the local dive shops about 7 years ago. I paid about $2200 for it at the time. It's really heavy! I replaced the carburetor last year--but man-man! Great to have dependable air when ever you need it.

That Daystate branded Coltri looks to be one of the better options
