Diana's seem pretty solid imo. Bsa as well as walther. Of course my only one currently is a hw50. I have owned others

exactly what do you mean by compromise price ? what would you be compromising ? accuracy ? distance ? shot cycle ? Quality ?

Id would recommend a beeman r9 referb , but the ones they have dont come off a good deal right now
399$ without sights ? Really? Buy sights to put on the gun that should already have them and the referb cost the same as a brand new @ 499 .. lol pa.. got to keep your eye on them cats nowadays..

Buy a Diana 48, you can find used ones on eBay for $300, or new anywhere for $450, they are not as refined as the HW77 or TX200 but they shoot really nice.
