best source - 88+cu ft DOT tank?

brancato seems to have a price that matches anything else i can find for a 88+ cu ft DOT tank.

are there any other reputable sources? not interested in purchasing one of the e-bay surplus "may or may not be ok" tanks with 5 years left. the disclaimers on those that they may not be certifiable had me running.

now that i've had time to take a big bore out shooting... I NEED A BIG TANK

Personally, I recommend Brancato. Many have issues with him but for me he has always been willing to answer questions, he usually has what one needs, and he get things to you pretty fast. Cheapest? Probably never. Quality? I'd say pretty solid. Other options? Not sure specifically because I've purchased most of my stuff from Brancato. YMMV.

I thoroughly agree. Joe Brancato set me up years ago when I started in with PCP guns. If I ever have problems / questions about anything related to PCP "air", he's the guy I call.

palm beach is now up to 700 for the omega. but that is still the cheapest i have seen the omega.

airhog looks to be $50 cheaper than the others, but i think i'm still leaning brancato so i can get the second gauge too. after i double check the scuba shops here will fill up a tank this large.

thanks for all the input, feeling better about making a decision after reviewing a couple options i wasnt aware of

The tank from AofA has a 1 meter fill hose, most of the others are 24", I didn't check Joe's site. Put a dead head on your hose to check tank pressure and you have one less gauge to go wrong. I have both and never found it to be a deal breaker, that's for sure, or even much of a pain to do. Finding a good deal, or a significant price savings, on a new big tank, -good luck! They all seem to be with in $50 of each other. Shipping costs and availability are different so savings might be found there, or package deals, and they change all the time.

looks like the omegas have the 1 meter cord standard, so palm beach would be the way to go for the omegas (especially with free shipping). their current tanks are dated jan 21

called brancato's and their tanks just came in and are dated "a few days old".. which i assume would be a week or two. the $50 shipping essentially has me at the decision point: pay $50 for shipping for a tank that is 4 months newer? or save $50 dollars... i think i'll be saving $50, and buying my own adapters.

...verified the scuba shop literally down the road will fill to 4500 psi!!!

appreciate all the input in this thread, hope it helps others down the road.

currently weary of air hog due to not hearing back from them. are they still active?

i went with the brancato, with the second gauge, and option 2 (din->male foster + female qd hose on both sides). while browsing the cheaper options, it came to about the same price if i also wanted the additional features.

i also did hear back from air hog, but opted for the slightly newer tank, and easier to order features.

Good choice, IMO. I have the Great White with the second gauge. A nice feature in my view because you always know at a glance how much air is in your tank. Enjoy it.

even though its very minimal, i don't like the idea of bleeding out a little bit of air each time i want to check the pressure. i know myself, and know i will be constantly wanting to know the pressure for the first few months. 2nd gauge will be very helpful for me

i think i'm officially in the deep end. i guess i should have known when i got the "yeah right" look when i was explaining to the better half why the last PCP i purchased was going to be the last one I "needed".
