Best slugs for .22 cal FX Maverick Sniper?

Too many variables. Seems newer liners like 217 just fine, so order a sampler or a few different weights and see. May need to adjust your tune up or down slightly for optimal accuracy/harmonic balance.

I shoot a 500 superior liner fx crown that has a bonded carbon tube on the liner. 22 cal. Mine likes just about anything I put in it, but the gun will be more picky if your tune isn't well balanced and if the liner/barrel is longer and isn't reinforced.

ok... great points, thanks!

It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish with your slugs. You want down range energy and carry up past 150 yards you are going to want something in the 34+ gr range. Just want less wind drag and flatter trajectory at 150 and in you can shoot about anything you want.
When I had my Maverick Sniper it shot NSA .218 27.5’s very well. They seemed a good compromise between the light and heavier slugs. Plus I could shoot them at 135 bar and got 960 fps by using an 11.5 gr hammer weight and no other modifications. Shot count was pretty good too. Believe it was 55 with the 580 bottle.

Hello, everyone. I'm new here and as a fellow well wisher I want to share my experience shooting and working with FX's Swedish Fine Rifles. These days I worked on the installation of a heavy liner 30 cal, 800 mm long on the Maverick. The test shooting was at 50 meters, speed 285 m/s, with a 54-grain slug of HN. The white target has these velocities, 5 shots of which 4 in one hole, the fifth missed by 3-4 mm.
The black target has already been replaced with a tungsten hammer, speed 310 m/s. The group opened up a bit, but nothing spectacular. I shot without a silencer, I didn't have one available for this caliber.
My friend and I both have Mavericks, we are constantly testing, changing and improving the qualities and vision of these rifles, I will keep you informed of what is happening.
Greetings from Bulgaria !!!
