I know I'm cheap but I bought a gamo swarm 10x and am in the market for the best scope at reasonable price (holds zero well), any suggestions.

Break barrel springers love to destroy scopes.
So go one of two ways. Get a scope with a rock solid warranty... Or buy something cheap so your not out much when it breaks lol

Best scope for springers there are quite a few, but before the best scope I would look for an anti-recoil single mount for springers that helps a lot not to break scopes.

Hammers makes a good scope for springers. I bought a Hammers 3-9x32 AO that's pretty spot on.

I put a cheap, no name brand 4x on my FWB 124 40 years ago and it still works. I’ve heard for 40 years that special scopes are needed for springers but it’s never been proven to me.

It is a cheap break barrel airgun. So put a cheap scope on it and save up for a better airgun. Someone suggested SWFA fixed. Don't go with the 20x, in fact dont go with SWFA at all. I have the 20x and will not sell it to anyone because it sucks so bad. JMHO YMMV

what about something in the x20 plus magnification? I'm looking for something good for a entry level target shooter 50yrds or less.

I believe that gun is more powerful than my FWB and harder on scopes. I put a cheap scope on my 300 WSM when I first got it and it lasted about 30 shots. Would probably still be using it on a 222.
