Best Scope (for me) $200 Or Less?

I’m looking to buy another scope because the one I have right now has become less than satisfactory. Looking for something that is clear (most important) and has a high magnification (I would like something that’s 16x or higher but I’m open to lower-magnification options). I’ll be shooing offhand, from a bench, and will only use it for target shooting. Suggestions?

Thanks,

AK

CLARITY and ILLUMINATION PRIORITY?

Has to be at least 16x and UNDER $200.00?

NOTHINGS CLEARER THAN THIS ONE UNDER $200.00 FOR A MINIMUM 16X ILLUMINATED.

I own one of these. Decent scope for the money and the warranty/customer service is Top Notch.

However,I find the eyebox pretty finicky.

Hawke-style reticle, nice and clear. About 160-ish at Airgun Optics Plus. I liked it enough to purchase a second one for my R9

I also have a Discovery VT-2 4-16x50 scope on my Hatsan Flash. I really like it, very solid scope at a really good price. I'll be moving it over to my Daystate Revere when it arrives tomorrow. Works very well in low light situations as well.

The other scopes mentioned you get almost what you pay that's fine they are cheaper however with the Alpha6s and JSAR you get at least 4x more clarity than what you pay for.

The Barra H30 is about 3x or 10x if that $59.92 is legit.

The Discovery VT2 you get about 1.5-2x. If they were the VT3 it would be 3x.

The Mueller about 1.5x.

The Bug Buster is exactly what you pay for.

Argh! I’d love to get that Alpha6 but because I’ll need to buy 30mm mounts ($35) and pay $250 for the scope I don’t think that will be possible. We’ll see. For the meantime, I’m thinking about one of those Discovery’s because the H30 has a reticle that I don’t think I can live with ;)

Anyway, what’s the best series for under $200? I’m looking at airgun optics plus and I’ll only probably buy a Discovery from there (no AliExpress for me!). I also should mention that I do not care for illumination. Specifically looking at the VT-2 6-24X44 or the HI 6-24x50. If it’s very clear (doesn’t have to be $1000000 clear but clear to the point where I can focus on the target very well. Also if it was bright that would be nice) and if anything go wrong I can return it easily, then I’ll go for that.

I just can’t $285 for a scope now or in the near future.

Thanks,

AK
