best pellet for Springers

I've had good luck with H&N. I only have .177's but they make .22 versions of the pellets described below.

For punching paper out to 35 yards or so H&N Match Rifle, 8.2 gr. are the most accurate I've found in my spring piston rifles (Weihrauch HW35 and HW30S). You can buy these in several varieties-- Finale Match, Match Rifle, and Sport. As I understand it the Finale Match are sorted for consistency and they cost more and the Sport are the least expensive but also not sorted-- intended more for plinking and such.

For pest control or hunting try Baracuda (also H&N).

Huh, JSBs are my go to when all else fails (14.35 gr for springers). My Trail liked H&N Field Target Trophy 14.66 domes when I had the .22 barrel on it. Did you clean the barrel? They're always dirty out of the box. Also, if it's new, you'll want to to shoot the crap out of it to break it in. It will shoot differently once broken in. Crosman Premiers usually work well, though you'll want the brown box pellets if you don't want occasional "flyers." Lastly if all else fails, invest (or make) a pellet "seater." Some pellet skirts don't easily clear the breach (stick out somewhat), and a seater just adds that little bit of consistency by making sure every pellet is seated the same.

Pellet pen with adjustable seater...a good investment, especially if you hunt! Best of luck!
