Best pellet for hatsan 130s qe

My dad bought the 30 cal hatsan Vortex springer today with the refurb deal for his birthday. I was hoping to get a user perspective on what pellets work the best and what holds you found that work the best. We have terrible racoon problems here that my condor usually takes care of but the springers are often more handy and honestly we wanted to know what a 30cal springer can do! Any advice or tips is welcome thanks dudes I think I'm more excited than he is!

Mine likes the 50.15 pellet the best. It still has quite the smack at 40 yards. You have to get used to the loopy trajectory though. I think it is about 30 lb-ft at muzzle. I know it isn't as happy with the Vortex 44.75 gr pellets, and those can be found pretty cheap at times at field supply. Polymag pellets are ok, but have a different POI than the JSB/Vortex pellets. I never managed to get any H&N pellets to try in it. Mine shoots well, rested about halfway down forearm, but with butt firm in shoulder. Wind drift is considerable at the lower velocity it shoots at. You will want a scope with plenty of aiming points... be it mildot or otherwise.

I'm predominantly using it for 5 to 10 yards or 15 at the most. My backyard is small and our target backstop is 10 yards exactly. Killing coons might require a 15yard shot at the longest point. Im hoping the open sights work fine with it.
