I was thinking of ordering some NSA slugs (.217) for my .22cal Red Wolf HP with a factory tune and was wondering which weight would shoot best.

Hi there, there are a Few post I made a while back, if I remember correct best NSA are 20.2 and 24.8gn .217 and the FX Hybrids out of the RW HP .22 GCU2.0 (Safari)

The JSB KO .217 slugs have worked best for me at about 990 FPS. The NSA 20.2 are good but you want the .218 for the RW HP. And yes, the very expensive FX Hybrids also shoot well but not quite as good as the JSB KOs. The accuracy of the JSB KOs is similar at 100 yards to the RD Monster pellets.

I would personally not bother with NSA with the RW, as Cc says above the JSB KO is the way to go, not only for good results without any effort but also for low enough cost to make them worthwhile shooting a lot!

Agree with Nick above. When I say “better” to me that means the difference between 1.0 and 1.2 inches at 100 yards. You need to try the .218 NSA 20.2 grain in the RW HP.
My .22 EDGun loves the .217 NSA 20.2 and it outperforms the JSB KO by a wide margin in that gun. I also recently discovered that my .30 Vulcan2 Tactic likes the .30 NSA 43.8, and they shoot about the same at 100 yards as the 44.75 grain pellets. So try various slugs in your gun and don’t just take someone else’s word for it...
