Don't spend your hard earned $$ on inefficient after-market moderators that don't even fit the gun. Do like me, go get a pipe insulation foam at home depot and cut into slices that fit tightly into the grooves of the baffle. I insist, you have to cut the foam larger than the groove so that they fit really tight.
And the effect is DRAMATIC! It does make the gun backyard friendly! For $5!

Why are you selling this gun? Don't like it, just been through too much with it or just want to try something else? I have one pre-ordered but may pass on it.
I love the gun but I need the cash for my new business. If you try, you will just fall in love. It is very accurate and air efficient. And full auto is so freaking fun. It pays me to sell it but that's life.

I found trying to twist the cap was a waste of time. I did get it by twisting the carbon fiber moderator cover first, then the end cap. If that doesn't work, some type of spanner in the slots in the front of the end cap.
You can cut a ½" washer in half and make 2 spanners that fit the end cap. You can either weld a handle on it or just use it with pliers

I'm glad you feel that this worked for you. I tried it some time back - yes it was tight in the baffle grooves. I also tried wrapping insulating felt between the baffles, to the full diameter which would still allow the CF sleeve to slide over (just barely). Nothing helped - in fact it sounded like more noise was being forced out of the muzzle.

I never even got to the point of shooting either of these mods since they were so loud (no apparent benefit from OEM configuration). So I don't know what covering all of those internal holes did to air flow and accuracy.

If you want something which truly works for not too much of your 'hard earned $$', what I now use is a Western 1/2-20 adapter with an STO Falx (high flow) moderator. To my non-calibrated ears the muzzle report might be half of OEM. Tried other mods I had available (several Donny's, 0dB) but the Falx was clearly the quietest. And it is not unfairly priced IMHO.

My SW is also a .30 cal.
