Hi there,
i am new to hunting hogs with an Airgun. I just got a Texan SS and was wondering if a 240-290 grain bullet would be better or something like the 350 boat tail? The obvious answer is whichever shoots better out of your gun, but I was thinking also shot placement. Some folks say the heavier slug placed in the heart/lung area is more of a sure kill. Though some seem to use a lighter slug at a faster speed aiming for the brain. Which is more likely to produce a kill on a consistent basis? If going for a head shot, I’ve heard of different aiming places. A side shot just below the ear? Between the ear and the eye? Through the eye quartering back into the head? Behind the ear? From the front view slightly above between the eyes? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
