Best feed for squirrel feeder?

I have tried everything, I feed them apple peelings out of my hand , Its Marty's favorite treat, My wife named him. I didn't do it.

Lead, in the form of pellets or slugs. They are to die for, squirrels love um.

I feed premium bird mix the squirrels pass up everything except the sunflower seeds. I've put out peanuts in and out of the shell and squirrel go right past them to the sunflower seed. I dont know why, wood peckers and jays go crazy over peanuts.

Anything you don't want them to have. If you don't want them to eat it or get in it, they will go out of their way to undermine you with fierce determination.

Apparently they like "lead" pellets - at least based on what most AGN members feed them throughout the year.

Corn is the best value feed and they like it reasonably well; at least around here. But ordinary peanuts in the shell are 3X more effective...

The cheapest you can find. Peanuts are the most desired but also some of the most expensive.

I agree, bird activity attracts the skwirrel
