Ok what would be the best donny for each gun to be the quietest

There is no "BEST" - because it all "DEPENDS" on the question and the specific details.

well its not the fat boy i here its loud tatsu and sumo are best i think

exactly, theres alot of factors besides ldc .. that said a sumo fits a wide range of guns and works well .. you may want the look of a smaller or thinner or you may need more volume for bigger calibers but a sumo has alot covered .. you will need to deal with other factors if you want super quiet though ..

I use a little Tanto on my Akela and it's a very good match and makes an already pretty rifle VERY quiet.

Koi for up to 20 fpe.

Shogun up to 50 fpe

Emperor up to 100+ fpe.

Length will give better sound reduction than diameter if diameter equals adequate volume.

Yes, the physics is beyond me, but I believe this is correct, the length of the suppressor is more indicative of its effectiveness than diameter. And my experience with a few supports this opinion.

...for me the "best" had been the Shogun...I have a Tanto and an Emperor as well...

...the Tanto generally sits in a drawer, the Emperor gets used on a .powerful .25 cal Airforce rifle, and the Shogun gets used on what ever else I happen to be shooting...

...I got the Tanto mostly for an AP16 pistol but I ended up liking the Shogun with it...

I just got the shogun for 30 cal. Compared to the Ronin I think it sounds better. Ronin is also noticeably heavier.

For a .22 I think regardless of the tune the Sumo would be more than enough. The Tatsu would also do just fine, again probably sound close to the same as the Sumo on a .22. 

.25 or above you could look to get a Ronin but on a .22 it's overkill.

I have the Sumo, Tatsu, Tanto, and Hill 8 for my 22 Prod and Leshiy.
Sumo is the quietest, Hill 8 is not as quiet as the sumo (not far off though) and not near as nice looking. Tatsu/Tanto are almost identical in sound reduction. Not as good as the Sumo, but good enough.


when I’m in the backyard I always use the sumo.
