"Best" budget 4-16X SFP?

I'm looking for some opinions on the "best budget" (optically) 4-16X SFP on the market today: Here are my parameters: (1) Sub 20 ounces, (2) non-illuminated, (3) prefer MOA. (4) some sort of simple reticle with reference dots or hashes (like SWFA)

I know there are a lot of options out there, just hoping some of you will post up your thoughts>

First off "best" (OPTICALLY) means NOTHING MADE IN CHINA!

Leupold VX5 3-15x but it's not 10 yard focus but not as clear as the Zeiss. Best for Centerfire or pay $50 for the Leupold close focus adapter from MidwayUSA.

I don't see any other sub 20oz option with decent glass. Geez the Zeiss is only 2oz more than your 20oz needs. You need to spend at least double to beat the sheer optical greatness of the Zeiss.

I mentioned the Zeiss because it's superior to the CHINESE Hawke Frontier at around the same weight.

I don't want to let people be stupid that's all.

$699 Japan SWFA SS 3-15X42 right around the same clarity and brightness as the cheaper Japan Bushnell TAC 5-15x40AO Mildot but the Bushnell has a superior eyebox.

I had a Bushy 5-15x40 AO a long time ago, but I sold it to a rimfire enthusiast because of its fat reticle.

I think it was my 3rd Elite.

OH $HIT JUST NOTICED YOUR TITLE SAID BUDGET!

MAN I AM SO SORRY GET THIS ONE THEN- 21 oz. Close enough zoom.

NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING MADE IN CHINA AT ANY PRICE WILL BEAT IT IN OPTICAL GREATNESS- HELL ITS EVEN CLEARER THAN THE $1199 ATHLON ARES.

BUSHNELL TAC 5-15X40 AO MILDOT. MADE IN JAPAN

Thanks for catching that! I haven't had a chance to edit my text, but that's next.....

I had one of the older SPF SWFA 3-15 and I loved it. It developed a loose eye piece, and I sent back. Sadly, SWFA doesn't make those any more. I tried out the FFP version and didn't like it. I'll check the want ads here for the Bushnell, or I may decide to buy new if I can find a good vendor.
