Best BSA R-10SE Huma Regulator Setting - Pellet Combo?

I picked up a BSA R-10SE for a good price and have ordered a Huma regulator to replace the worrisome BSA one. I also ordered a couple of Best Fittings 280cc bottles that will allow a quick change while at the backyard range.

Should have searched the forum. My question has been answered in an earlier post. No response necessary. subject adequately covered in previous posts.

Hi CharlieF,

My BSA R-10 in .22 caliber likes the JSB 18.1 shooting at 900 fps. I believe my HUMA reg is set at 130 bar. With the standard bottle I get around 45 shots. Its been a while since I shot it, so my numbers maybe a bit off, but not by much. I also have a BSA R-10 in .25 caliber flavor. However I shoot this gun at very low power (15ftlbs) The reg is set at 120 bar and I can't tell you the shot count, but it gets lots of shots! I get 525 fps with 25.4 grain pellets. I have set both these guns up using different power levels and reg pressures. I can tell you one thing...the BSA barrels are very good at low and high power using JSB pellets. I am not by any means great at shooting, but I can maintain 1/2" groups at 50yards with both guns shooting high power. The trajectory and wind affects the .25 caliber more currently because of the low power setup, but still very good accuracy even out to 50 yards. Maybe if I had to guess I can maintain .600" group at 50 yards with the low power setting on the .25 cal.
