N/A Best bang (or plink) for the buck?

Great story! Did they let you shoot it? LOL!

Enjoy in good health!
Barely enough to sight it in with a chorus over my shoulder of "can we shoot yet" "can we shoot yet". And they were back at it today, plinking plastic army guys off a sawhorse at 25 yards. Didn't take them long to get deadly accurate off a sandbag. I'll have to remove that crutch to slow them down.

I bought the rifle from Joshua777. He sent the rifle with a tin of H&N Feild Target Trophy 5,5 mm / .22 cal. They seem to be working great. Are those the same as the 5.53s?
All the 22 FTTs are always listed as 5,5mm. That's European for 5.5 mm which is generic sizing for 22 cal. FTTs come in more finite sizes. 5.53, 5.54 and 5.55mm. Those sizes are listed on the back label. Some Weihrauch's respond better to one size more than another. I have the best luck 5.54. Most places only stock the 5.53s which I believe is the default size for 22 FTTs.

Yes. I have found that slightly oversized pellets perform better (because they stay in the breech!). Normal .22 ammo is 5.5, I purchase either 5.52 or 5.53 head size H&N Field Target Trophy pellets when I order them. Usually ten tins at a time. They are called sleeves for some reason.

Because they come in plastic sleeves of five or ten depending on pellet type or manufacturer. I didn't even know FTT 5.52s existed.

UPDATE: Based on the recommendations of several of you, I purchased a Weihrauch HW95 off of the classifieds. The member was super helpful, had lots of advice, and set me up with a spare scope and rings he had. The package was delivered a couple days ago. Pop cans have been shaking in fear since. We have friends visiting that have a kid about the same age as my youngest (13). We set them up on a bench in the back hard. It was so much fun watching them shoot. Shooting trumped video games, television, and general getting into trouble. Every time the trigger was pulled, they both yelled "the range is cold" as they sprinted to the target to see what their pellet did to the latest victim (pop can full of water). We finally had to kick them off shooting bench at a quarter before 10p. They would have continued all night had we let them. Thanks everyone for your advice.
Great purchase!
The rifle will last a lifetime!

I've had mine for years and have not yet felt any need for upgrades to improve on the enjoyment of the rifle.

Happy shooting!
