Best backyard plinker for small little girl

Hey guys I asked before about this but was looking for a backyard plinker/hunting airgun for my little girl. People suggested a few and i ended up realizing they were all too big. What is the smallest lightest wood stock pcp or bulk co2 I can get with the absolute lightest or smoothest bolt just for backyard plinking? I can modify parts by lightning the trigger or replacing parts. I was thinking qb79 in 177 but have no idea if the bolt is sticky or hard to deal with. I can fill it for her but then want her to operate it on her own. Any suggestions are valid but id like to keep it under 300 if possible. Wood stock needed so i can cut it down for her. Ty

Are you not considering pump up's like a Crossman or Daisy?

If not, Crossman has a nice small, light CO2 rifle. The model is the 1077. It's 37" long and weighs only 3.75 pounds. It's $75. Here's the link:

I don't know your daughter's size but the Hatsan Flashpup is pretty nice. It's 32 inches long, weighs 6 pounds and costs $400 new. Available in .17, .22 and .25

You may find a used one in the $300 range.

CMP sells the Daisy 853 for about a 100 bucks and comes with butt spacers to lengthen the rifle as a kid grows. It is a single pump pnuematic so you have to pump it once for each shot. These rifles were used in 10 meter competition so they are accurate. Check them out at CMP.org.

Consider a crosman 1701 p. Add a 1399 stock and bug buster. Real sweet carbine. Later switch the transport to a 1720. Tp and wala. Very lite accurate and cute. Only problem daddy won't play fair. Hogging gun all the time. Just saying.

Her strength is pretty low. Shes only 6 and small for a girl. She is capable of operating her savage rascal 22lr but we cant do that in the backyard lol. Pumpers are not a consideration she just doesn't have the strength. I bought her the small pink crosman pumper and was disappointed that she couldn't work it. I like the idea of the 1077. Ill look into that.

Hi, I've got 3 girls and my 11 year old is on the petite side. I believe if you're willing to work the bolt for her if it's too much a P-Rod with shoulder stock would be the ideal length, weight, and size. If she struggles with a scope a reflex sight might work well too.

Second, the PROD. Pump friendly. Small quiet. Red dot or laser at first. 30 pumps 3 mags. Cant lose. Tunable.

Chopped stock running on carts, he may have used an AA of some sort 3 years later at the Nationals?

Crosman 2400KT. Light, accurate, CO2, easy bolt, short length of pull.

If you want to go .22, the 2260 is a great rifle with a wood stock that can be shortened

Both can be quieted down with moderators

Bought my daughter a 760 Pumpmaster when she was 6 years old. She would pump three pumps into it and shoot. She's 27 now and still has it and plays with it in her backyard . I'm in the process of building her a 1377 pistol /rifle combo. I would definitely look at a Crosman CO2 or a pump model.

A 2240 was my first thought as well. A custom shop made one she helps pick out the features one could be fun and it is something that she won't outgrow as it can always be converted back to a pistol. The only issue is the grip is pretty big for a small kid and length of pull can be hard to adjust unless you use an ar stock adapter.

I like the AR stock idea for kids because it can grow with them (and it can fit me too).

I think im going with an umarex gauntlet and slapping it on the qb78 stock. If that dont work i can just buy more airguns. Best part of being a single dad is having nobody to answer to lol.

The Gauntlet is long even for a 6'4" man, it's heavy and not easy to cock. By the time you convert it into a decent gun you'll have $400 in it.

I raised my sons alone from ages 1 and 3. I got this Gauntlet for my youngest who is 28 now and has his own house and squirrel problem.

Yeah I realised that when i went to buy it. Im glad i looked because thats a 10lb gun scoped .Ill figure it out. I have an umarex fusion that if i could find a wood stock for would work.
