Benjamin titan tune

Hey guys I am tuning my dads Benjamin titan and I was wondering if you guys could tell me exactly where to grease this guns internals. I read the pyramid air report on it but I think ive heard other people here say not to do it the way they explained. Anyway I bought the ARH clear tar, super moly and euro tar online but dont know which goea where. Also if I end up needing to change the gas ram piston in it, can you guys tell me if there are any other springs from other guns that might fit and possibly be stronger or smoother? I saw the aftermarket spring on pyramid air for 50 bucks but I think someone told me certain gamo springs would be smoother, more powerful and stay cheap. Thanks guys.

Yeah one of the greases like the euro tar I think is for a real spring but im pretty sure the piston sleeve and piston still get lubed on a gas ram but I don't know much about springers either. Im just the airgun guy in my family so everyone comea to me with thier problems. I like to help out when i can so i took on a job I know nothing about but I know someone on here can help me.

That is a Nitro Piston gun or gas spring. The only place internally to lubricate is the compression seal with some silicone grease or oil. And yes spring guns get Molly grease or black tar ( open gear grease ) on the spring. You should be able to buy at Tractor Supply . Leather seals get conventional oil. Synthetic seals get silicone. Fienwerkbau has their own special = expensive grease. Pyramyd Air has some red grease that they call TIAT Tune up in a tube that is real sticky for springs and related parts.

Pyramyd Air has some videos on this subject if you wish to study more about lubing springers.

The ball bearing trick works great with the right diameter bearing. I done this years ago with my Titan.

What metalmaniac said but I use a little Molly on the piston, just a smear. It stops the galling. I also use a slight smear of silicone oil around the outer rim of the piston seal. If you get any on the front of the seal wipe it off and start again. Also be careful you don’t nick the seal when sliding it into compression chamber. I use a small flat screwdriver to help ease the seal in. Should you take it apart this is an ideal time to file off the sharp edges around where the trigger assembly fits and the end of the cocking slot.

A bit of molly where the cocking arm is secured to the compression chamber and a slight smear of gun oil on other moving parts, not in the compression chamber will also help quiet it down and help prolong the life of moving parts.

Not sure you can fit a spring into a Titan. I know you can get a kit that fits a gas ram to certain Gamo’s that had springs. Try Laurie at Customairseals.com he might be able to help you.

There's a very simple trigger mod that will make the trigger feel sooo much better.

If you like the way the bearing mod feels, then you'd really like the way these feel.

Each of my NP''s have one of these day and night over stock. Really tightened each gun groups.
