Benjamin sheridan yard sale find - info

Found this at a yard sale for $40. Pumps up and goes bang when dry fired. Little bit loved but seems to function so will try and lightly restore and use. 

Any idea why this doesn't have a serial number. Someone said that was unusual. 



Any other info on it?

It might be under that black piece just in front on the breech engraved on the barrel.

Early Rocker Sheridan so 1963 +. Still has the partridge front site so its an early Rocker. Ill look thru my notes to date it later. Is the top of the reciever grooved? Try to do an alcohol flush and get some mac1 sauce or pellgun oil. Good fine theyre nice guns.

If you mean this, then yes

From the pic it looks like a Rocker a safety but maybe its a thumb safety? If it is the thumb safety its a 1962.

I dont know the difference but by the way it works id say Rocker. You press one side or the other down and it rocks back and forth

1963. 64 they changed the front sight to the to the larger serated sight.

As Odoyle mentioned, under that black hand grip just in front of the breech. Red arrow points to the number on mine which, so I was told, makes it a 1973.

Never heard of a Sheridan with no serial # anywhere on the gun.

Well this one doesn't. I've had it apart to check too

For the Model Cs 1949-1964/65 no dates were stamped on them.

Makes sense. Firearms often weren't serialized until 68 so I assume many airguns are the same
