Benjamin Round Nose. Is it just me or...?

 I just received a tin of Benjamin Round Nose .25cal and it's the first time I've ever purchased it. For the life of me, I can't unscrew the lid. Is it just me? Am I weak or is it just hard to unscrew? I even tried one of those jar lid openers with the teeth to try and unscrew the lid but no luck.

Did ya get it open? If not take a blunt object, i.e. butter knife handle and tap all around the knurled edge.

Now if you will look closely, there is a carefully formed resistance weld between the upper and lower halves, gas-tight so as to protect the pellets from oxidation during their potentially long journey from the factory to your home. Please secure the tin carefully in the machine vise and trace the outline with a 1kW CO2 laser to free the pellets from their protective cocoon.

Lol. What I'm trying to avoid while trying to open it is the whole tin coming apart and the pellets flying all over the place.

I’ve literally had to cut away a piece with dremel several times on bent ones. Good luck. Try channel locks.

Make sure you open the tin while sitting on your bed, better yet on your wife's side of the bed. Or, do it while standing in the gravel road. That way the tin will pop open with very little effort and the pellets will get to taste their freedom briefly.

Don't feel bad. The second tin I bought after a 45 year intermission from my Co2 pistol resulted in the use of tin snips and channel lock pliers. I do understand the complaints regarding friction lids, but I one needs to be careful anyway and not frustrated on top of that. Oh, and with QC as pictured I will never purchase a Crosman product again.

I finally got it open guys. I did try tapping the edges with a metal object but no dice. Thanks anyways bf1956. What finally got it open was my LaRue bottle opener and it was too easy.
