Benjamin Rogue Questions

Who here has or has used a Rogue? I'm curious about the good, the bad, and the ugly about this gun. Would you buy one at a good price? What would you consider a good price? MidwayUSA had the list price as $1700 new. Does that sound correct? The electronics in it scares me, but at a good price, I might be persuaded. Can one buy parts for it? Are the magazines the same as the Bulldog or specific to the Rogue? The Rogue was the gun that caught my eye when I first started reading about airguns. Back then it was brand new and the media was being astro-turfed with good reviews. Time seemed to reveal a more honest representation as the gun made it into users' hands. People said it was big and heavy, accuracy was mediocre. I've heard of problems with the electronics. I've also read that Crosman addressed most of those issues later in the production life of the gun. By today's standards it looks enormous to me. The Bulldog was the replacement. It seems that Crosman took everything that was wrong with the Rogue and dropped it. The Bulldog was the result. Bulldogs don't seem to be sold on the used market much so that would indicate that people are relatively pleased with them. I've seen only one sold on this forum, and one on another forum, and only one on eBay (I've been casually watching for one).
I don't need a 9mm rifle, I'm not in a hurry to buy one. I'm just curious what the opinion is on this gun with 20/20 hindsight.

OK, a question about the Rogue. What are the internals like? Styling aside, what power plant is it based on? Something similar to the Marauder, just up-scaled for the .357 caliber? or is it something else? Perhaps the old Rogue guts in a new skin?

As for a paper puncher, I'd expect serious accuracy for the $999 and $1199 Dicks had them for. Is the barrel any good? Has anyone done accuracy at 50 and 100 yards? The old Rogue seemed to have a decent accuracy, any idea on the new?

Just a couple questions for the folks that might have shot one.
