Benjamin releases 3 NEW PCP's

How well do your sights align after you remove the shroud for cleaning? You can always stick on your own with JB Weld. Then so can the few guys who want to hodge-podge up their gun.

Your guns are fine, I judge them not. Did you index the shroud for accuracy before you added, or are you shooting short range where such tuning is not beneficial? Add the sights to this gun like you did the others, if you must. You collection of fine guns did not.come with open sights, be they iron or green/red fiber optics, so why cry about this selection for not having them either? There is always one in a crowd.

Thanks for your understanding, JimNM

As a point of information the Freedom has iron sights originally fitted,

The Daystate is not at all hodge podged; and the front sight realigns perfectly because the shroud is indeed indexed precisely

If noting that iron sights are not offered on these new guns is considered crying, then please pass the towel.

If having a point of view that is different from yours makes me "one in a crowd", I predict soon enough I will become a crowd.

May I recommend 2 aspirin?

Theres this very cool $7.99 free shipping from Cali EBay press fit shotgun fiber optic front sight available in different colors that work like a charm if your shroud is the diameter of a TKO or use concentric shims. Best to epoxy them on once set perfectly. YO!

Thanks Yo

That's good information

I tried searching e-Bay and came up empty.

Are you able to post a link to the item, please?.

Thanks

Ed

Crosman, over the years I have watched them, maybe come out with one new PCP a year. Some years, it has only been a tweak to an existing platform. For this year, it appears all their internal R&D is in the semi-auto marauder. While they have partnered with companys on lower end products, this is the first time I've seen it at the upper end of product line. While I'm sure their engineers would have wanted to develop their own, it does add side-lever, bottle guns, and bullpups to their 177/22/25 cal pcp market. ie catch-up. They will need to stock parts for warrantee work, and hope they follow through with their typical parts support to end users. Strong parts support is something I cherish. Probably because I mod it and then need to fix it. :)

Given the current situation, and what the new sales predictions are probably telling them, they were probably lucky they didn't dump all of their own R&D in to these three guns. I'm still hoping that the SAM is released this year and proves to be very reliable. That seems to be a significant challenge with semi-auto's in that price range.

A side lever, repeater, with attractive thumbhole walnut stock bottle gun for $600 bucks?? That's quite a bargain for all those features. Ya, it's not American made, but Crosman rifles for years always had the appearance of cheap airguns with those funky shaped stocks and cheap components. It's too bad these rifles can't be made here, but for you naysayers, where are the pellets you buy made?? Czechoslovakia or Germany? How about those wickedly accurate, totally adjustable rifles with interchangeable barrels for $2000, Sweden? Germany? England? They are all the rage, but you pay dearly for them to get the same features. Yes, for $600 these guns aren't quite as sophisticated and highly polished, but for the average guy that wants to pop squirrels in the woods, they will do just as well. Ok, tinkerers, get to work. Replace the aluminum tank with a CF model and polish the barrels and triggers. Where's the HUMA regulator. Let's make a $2000 gun out of this.
