I know it’s not the best but it’s pretty good for me. It was 30 yards 10 shot group.

770 fps with a 16 grain pellet ? from a .22 benjamin prowler , rt ? ive have 2-3 of these - and it's a good $100 gun. here at 750 ft above sea level , mine generally shot around 725 fps with 14 grainers (crosman premiers) very consistently , and was pretty accurate - 5 shots groups inside a quarter, and usually better. but it was a joy to shoot , easy to cock , ergonomic , easy recoil..... wasnt much to do as far as tuning it - did the bearing trigger trick and sanded the trigger guard because the plastic molding had a burr that scratched into my hand, and i honed the air chamber. to me, it was basically a titan with a very solid plastic stock. and to the guy who displayed his group on the paper plate : those groups will get tighter after you do a few things to it (oh yeah, i discarded those plasic barrel shims and used hardened bronze washer/bearings which tightened any side play in the barrel block lock up area) .... and if your prowler is brand new , those barrels usually get better after they get leaded up and seasoned after 200-300 shots or more...

Yessir. Chrony showed avg.731 but according to the real world trajectory the pellet has to be leaving the muzzle at 770ish. Physics trumps electronic gizmo, once again. My elevation is roughly 750' as well.

Seems to take about 35-40fps to make a noticable difference downrange.

😊

....i agree fishwrench, and i have noticed with benjamin pcp's - on the up curve (first shots from a new fill) , my .22s seem to have the same point of impact at 40-50 yards as when the shots are on the top end of the shot curve....i know it chronys about 30 fps less than its max (845 fps with 13.5 gr jsb , getting around 24 shots from an old school wanut disco filled to 2000psi)....it has me puzzled, but the harmonics are much better with the way the gun feels thru the first 8 shots.....but the velocity is less - like you say 30 fps makes a big difference with p.o.i. at anything over 35 yards with .22........ got any notion as to what (quantum) physics could help me to get my head around that ?
