Benjamin Maximus

No experience with Maximus, a lot with Discovery do a search for the 3 screw mod. I rec'd my gun (used) from Mrod Air trigger was literally breaking as I bolted the gun. A call to Normand at DiscoRus ( retired no experience with new crew) he talked me through. Another trigger mod is the Gen 1 Marauder with a shim. The 7/8" tube now has several regulators that should work. A nice addition was a BNM multi shot breech. These were quite abundant years back. Crosman''s newer gun should allow the breech to be used on the Maximus. 2000 psi is a breeze to pump, and a standard 3000 psi dive tank yields something like 60 fills

"ohio_hunter"for the trigger get the brass trigger from baker.it will make trigger pretty smooth.
+1

TKO muzzle brake + Baker trigger/spring = $75. Now, the Max is light, accurate, quiet, with a decent trigger pull.
I feel no need to adjust it internally because it gets 20 shots between 775 and 825 fps with 15 gr JSB ammo. Enjoy!

There is huge after market support for it, most of the stuff that was done for discovery also applies to Maximus. But there are no adjustments that can be done to it out of the box, unless you count cutting coils off spring as adjustment. For about $30 you can get rear cap with adjustable srping tension pre-load.

Do you have a link per chance? Thanks!

Just google Benjamin Maximus modifications. People aren’t mentioning about that you need to polish all the contact points in the trigger mechanism also. Very easy to do. All the lower priced Crossman guns are just stamped steel trigger parts and have rough edges. Once you smooth them edges out where they contact, the trigger works much better. The Maximus was my first PCP rifle also. It still works as good as it did when I got it 4 years ago.I thought about selling it but can’t get myself to do it yet.
