I ordered one of this from Crosman direct using AEAC's discount, 185$ shipped, great price and it did very well on AEAC's review. It'll be here tomorrow. I ordered a Maurader trigger kit for it in case I don't like the trigger, needed one anyway for my Disco, so if the Maximus doesn't need it I'll use it on the Disco. First thing I'll do is disassemble the rifle and totally clean it out. I've learn from the past that this is a must and goes along way with accuracy. I'll also examine the barrel crown and address if needed. My question is there any venders that have brass triggers, bolts and such for these rifles? Anyone have this rifle? Your thoughts, I have a lot of high end PCPs, but I love these rifles because I'm a tinker. For the price I think it'll a hella shooter and great loaner rifle for when my kids and friends come over to shoot.

I ordered one of these in .177 for my son after watching AEAC's review. I just missed the discount window, so I payed a little more, but WOW, is this thing a shooter! I have only shote it at 10 yards so far to do a "rough" sight-in for a UTG 3-9x power scope, but I cannot believe how well it shoots. The trigger isn't the greatest, but it ate every pellet I fed it, and even with my jury-rigged "rest" for bench shooting from our table, it still put all pellets inside of 1/4" groups, or less. I'm not a very good shooter, and I had fly-aways, but I called those as bad shots (bad trigger discipline, wobbly stance...not the rifle).

I started with 7.4gr Crosman Destroyers, and worked up to 10.34 grain H&N Barracuda Hunters. At this close range (10yds) there was no discernable drop moving from light to heavier pellets. I can't wait to see what happens further out. It was also very easy on the air supply. I started

I plan to stretch out the distance to 30 yards and see how it performs.

For anyone who is considering an entry level PCP, I would take a close look at this rifle. Even at 12 FPE, if you can shoot in 1/4" groups, head shots will take down rabbits, squirrels, etc. out to 30 yards, probably even 50 yards, as long as shot placement is good (head shots).

Sorry...I cleaned the rifle before I ever fired it. I pulled several patches through and cleaned it up before I even filled the rifle with air. If we have dry weather tomorrow evening, I'm moving the pellet trap out to 30 yards (which is about all the space I have right now).

I am waiting on a Wolf moderator I bought for it, but it isn't any louder than my Crosman NP Fire break-barrel rifle. I'll keep updating as I (and my son) shoot this rifle. Early results are encouraging!

I just received my Maximus Hunter .22 with Mrod trigger and it is AWESOME! I had the Baker Brass trigger on my Disco and it was a definite improvement over the stock one.. The Mrod trigger is, however, a giant improvement over the Baker IMO. My .22 is very accurate to 60 yards. I haven't pushed it beyond that yet. My only complaint is that it is very long (but very quiet) with the Neil C moderator. Good luck with your euro!

Bought the same Euro gun in .177. Was able to buy it using the AEAC code on a friday so it was $165 shipped. Chronoed it once and it was a bit low at about 700 fps using RWS dome 8.3 gr, but that was when it was new. Will try it again next trip to farm. I pump it to 1750 psi and refill at about 1250 psi. I get bet 40 to 50 shots within that range. About 50 pumps on a Benjamin pump to raise it to the 1750 psi level fr 1250. I've got targets (resetable) from 10 to 55 yards. No prob even to 55 yards. I would say consistent if within the above pressure range. Still trying to develop my rhythm on the gun. I've got a regulated 22ci tank I use to refill the tank.

Changed trigger spring with a ballpoint spring. Pull is now less than half of the original. Mounted a CVLIFE 6-24 scope fr Amazon at $40. Want to keep it a low cost World Field Target rifle.

Will probably add an improvised hamster on the stock for more seated stability. Will report back after shooting it again at the farm.
