I know there are a ton of videos and they seem straightforward but I am looking for a reputable repair shop that can fix the leaks and generally maintain one of my M-Rods. I would prefer to find someone in the SF Bay area or within a couple hundred miles to avoid shipping it. Does anyone have advice on who I should contact?

Unfortunately, I am a couple states north of you but the Mrod is an easy gun to work on. In stock configuration, there are only 4 main orings and the seal in the gauge block that holds the air. If you get moister in the tube, the gauge block will corrode and spring a leak over time.

Thanks. The leak seems to be coming right out the fill port. I've had the gun for many years and have never done any maintenance so I am expecting to find some corrosion.

The fill port connection is common. If you look on the Crosman website, you can see parts diagram. Jot the number down, call Crosman and order fill plug. Comes complete with rings. If you don’t have silicone grease, it is easy to get on Amazon. It is an easy, depressurize, unscrew, screw in replacement.

There are a gazillion MROD repair guides out there. As stated, that part is literally as simple as degas, unscrew (you can even use a wrench or socket that fits on there), replace with new part, and re-pressurize. It would probably take all of 15 minutes.

I had this same leak on a Prod. It is an easy fix.
What I did was order a new fill port. Installed it, and then fixed the old one. Now it is even a simpler fix as I no longer have to wait for parts.

You might as well reseal the entire gun, clean all parts out and apply fresh lubes. Sounds like this has never been done so now is a good time.
you can get a complete seal kit from captain o rings.com or thru amazon. The captain kit is sold also thru amazon and comes with enough o rings to reseal your entire gun twice.

Awesome information. Thanks! I pulled the port off and the seal under the pin is destroyed. I'll order a new one today.
@Bigragu that is true. It has never been done as I have neglected this gun for at least a decade. It has been my favorite of the bunch and I have put thousands of pellets through it. My only concern with doing it myself is my fear of screwing it up! I'll look at the seal kit and watch some more videos.

I had the exact same problem happen on my early Gen 1 Marauder a few years ago. I replaced that hard seal in the fill port and installed a Captain O-Ring seal kit at the same time. She's been tight as a drum with nary a leak since then.

OK - next question. I went to Captain O-Ring and see three different kits. How do I determine which part number I need for my particular gun?

@Gregorio It feels great to be able to work on your own air guns. I also understand the apprehension surrounding a potential screw up. If you think you messed something up in the process and want to get it serviced by a pro I think @motorhead is in the region. He's somewhere in NorCal to my understanding.

Doh! I guess I should have known the 17 in the part number must mean it is for my .177 and 22 is for my .22 cal.

The two Marauders I have are accurate guns. So yes they are a good gun.
Neither are regulated and neither have a large shot count, Both have a pressure (velocity ) curve.
They are what they are. But, Benjamin makes more than Marauders.
