Benjamin Marauder help

Not meaning to sound like Mr. Obvious, but are you sure you are pulling the bolt all the way back? I know mine gets a little stiff, especially if it isn’t pulled straight back.

Or maybe it’s cocked, but the safety isn’t allowing the trigger to be pulled. Would explain loose bolt.

You may try taking it back out of the stock just to see if it will fire. Not sure what I’m the stock would hold it up, but something to try.

Good luck, and let us know what you figure out.

This is my second Marauder yes I pulled the bolt action all the way back it's loose like there's no give in it at all or I would say fight to it. the trigger is springy when I pull it safety on or off. but it's the same effect safety off or on same pull I thought the safety would stop it from pulling back but I don't remember if it did with the other. this thing will not shoot air I was thinking maybe I turn some type of screw or something on the inner part to get it working don't know. I messaged the seller.

Sorry to hear about your troubles!
If there's no resistance when the bolt is pulled back and it is not cocked, the lug on the bolt which pulls back the hammer to cock the the gun my have vibrated loose or sheared off somehow. Try shaking it and see if anything rattles? If you're comfortable pulling off the breech and barrel, do so and take a look.
Here's a link to a disassembly video, it's a Gen 1, but they're very similar to the Gen 2s.
Good luck!

Loose cocking with no resistance when you pull back the bolt? You are completely missing a hammer spring or as was said above the stud that attaches to the bolt that engages the hammer is missing.
(Also no, the safety does not prevent the bolt from being pulled back.)
The marauder is easy to work on if you decide to give it a go, but yes it sounds like you received something you didn’t expect when you paid for it, so returning it may be the best thing.

Ahhh the broken at the adjustment screw Mrod trigger. I found it necessary to keep a few extras in the parts bin. I use Mrod triggers on most of my 2260/disco builds and they need to be shimmed or they'll break the trigger or sear. I've broken 2 triggers and a few sears getting them right on a couple builds.
