Tuning Benjamin Marauder. 22 Leaks through Air Gauge

Yeah I'm hoping someone can give me some insight. I have this Benjamin Marauder that has been fully modified with a high pressure ssembly guage port. I have tried every type of Teflon tape know to man to keep the gun from leaking from the air port.

Any ideas?

Crosman changed the gauge thread type from tapered to straight a while back if I recall correctly. This may be the issue if you are using a tapered thread guage.
What does your o-ring look like in the bottom of the hole?
On a second note, are you sure you are using the Teflon tape correctly? Winding it counter-thread just cuts the tape and it will not seal. 
Third option...maybe it’s just a bad gauge. Do you have one that you can swap out and test it? Either way, cheap fix.

Yeahbi believe the gauge port extender is tapered not strain i will investigate. That ASAP. Good idea I was not thinking of that straight thread.

Also I use the tape clock wise. 

Yeahbthe guy spend alot of money for the modified gauge so I don't think he wants to swap.

I'm guessing you cleaned out the threads very carefully and looked for any little burrs? 

also i had a bad gauge that just leaked but not due to thread issues but some other leak inside the gauge.

There is a weeper hole on the back of the gauge.

That is where it is leaking.

Order some from Carr-McMaster.

When I order anything from Crosman, anything, I toss in a new gauge.

I haven’t had to replace one in years…

it's not the gauge threads that are leaking, it likely the Gauge manifold O-rings, mine had a leak there and it was the Manifold O-ring was damaged from the holes in the tube, tube holes were not de-burred well, easy to test with a little bit of water around the base of the gauge and threads.... you will notice bubbles coming from the tube hole next to the threads, look real good.
