Benjamin Marauder.22/.25 barrel

No that’s not what I’m talking about! Sorry I meant who makes the barrels ? Somewhere I saw and heard that the .25 barrel was better then the .22 and .177 if you got the Walther match barrel but the .25 had almost as good of a barrel made by I think it started with green mountain something??? I have to try and find where I saw that at !!

Green mountain used to make the Crosman .25 barrel but I believe that Crosman makes their own now. I have read they are much improved from earlier Crosman made barrels.

I sold my 25 Marauder 11 a few years back, BUT there is no way the factory is making a better barrel than the Green Mountain barrel.
Crosman may say as good , But no way in hell is it better,

Never had a bad Green Mtn. barrel, all did great groups with both Benji domes and JSB's. Never had much luck with the .22 barrels, I had a couple of .630 Lothar Walther barrels, these were .22 machined to fit. These added much weight to the Marauder, I had great results with both, that shot a variety of pellets very good.

Crosman/Benjamin used Green Mountain barrels on the .25 cal., both gen 1 and gen 2 up till December 2017 or January 2018. Now all .25s have Crosman barrels made in house. The .177 and .22 were only offered with Crosman/Benjamin barrels, both gen 1 and gen 2, up until a few years ago when they started offering LW barrels on their custom shop Mrods. You can now purchase a picatinny breech, LW barreled Mrod from Pyramid Air instead of the custom shop. Hope that helps clarify things.

Different is one is .22 and the other one is .25. Both are made by crosman. Green mountain used to make the old .25 cal barrel. But now crosman make all their own barrels. So no different other than size bore.

Maybe they've changed and I just havent seen the newest but the .25 has a larger outer dia (1/2"ish) than the standard size crosman barrel used in the .177 & .22.
